Hantek cc-650 current clamps are designed for diagnosing the battery, starter, generator and other powerful electrical current consumers of the car.

Allows non-contact measurements of direct and alternating current. They are connected directly to one of the analog channels via a BNC connector.

 

Hantek cc-650 current clamps can be used in conjunction with Mt-Pro , Autoscope , Disko family of oscilloscopes.

  

The Hantek cc-650 current clamp together with the MT Pro 4.1 motor tester allow you to make a quick test of the car's electrical equipment, namely:

 

- battery test (battery) (lead-acid 12 V)
- test starter, retractor relay and starter power circuits
- test of the generator, voltage regulator, rectifier assembly and power circuits of the generator
- Glow plug test for vehicles with a diesel engine
- display tables and graphs of the analysis results on the screen (there is in the photo above), as well as print them
- compare the analysis results in one table.

Vehicle electrical test capabilities:

Battery
- calculation of initial voltage, state of charge, minimum voltage and voltage drop during scrolling
- calculation of the internal resistance of the battery and assessment of its consistency with the resistance of the starter circuit
- calculation of the cold crank current for EN, DIN, SAE, IEC standards and assessment of the remaining battery life based on the cold crank current
- construction of a 3D graph of the starting qualities of the battery - starter, to assess the possibility of starting at different temperatures and the degree of charge of the battery (assessment in summer, the possibility of starting in winter).

Starter
- calculation of the duration of switching on and the current of the solenoid relay
- calculation of the duration of the starter scrolling and the average speed of the CV when scrolling
- calculation of the resistance of the starter circuit and assessment of its consistency with the internal resistance of the battery
- calculation of the maximum starter current and assessment of its consistency with a given number of cylinders and the working volume of the internal combustion engine
- calculation of the voltage drop in the power circuits of the starter, the resistance of the power circuits of the starter and the minimum voltage at the starter terminals, taking into account the drop in the power circuits
- calculation of the number of breaks and short circuits of the starter current, determination of the most probable cause of current breaks
- plotting the scroll current and voltage with the possibility of detailing the interval for switching on the retractor relay and the moment of closing the power contacts of the retractor relay (the moment the starter motor is started)

Generator
- calculation of charging start delay and charging duration
- calculation of average and maximum charging voltage
- calculation of charging voltage and current at medium speeds without load and with load
- calculation of the voltage drop in the power circuits of the generator and the resistance of the power circuits of the generator
- plotting ripple graphs (the “distortions” introduced by the voltage regulator are automatically removed from the graphs) and calculating the amplitude of charging voltage ripples for three generator operating modes: XX, at medium speeds and under load

Glow plugs
- calculation of the duration of the inclusion of glow plugs (only for old cars, without taking into account temperature maintenance by PWM)
- calculation of the initial, average and final current of one glow plug
- building a graph of the current of switching on glow plugs

General
- informing about the output of the calculated parameter value beyond the allowable range, by highlighting in yellow or red the corresponding cell of the table of results
- comparison of the calculated values of the parameters in one table of the same vehicle, for example, before and after repair, or with different batteries, or different vehicles to assess the condition of the electrical equipment of the desired vehicle
- print table and graphs of analysis results with automatic color correction for monochrome printing and layout for A4 sheet
